The phenomenon that occurs at the Takalar Regency Office of the Library and Archives is that there are </em><em>some</em><em> employees </em><em>procrastinate in working</em><em> or there is a lack of </em><em>internal motivation</em><em> to complete </em><em>their </em><em>work. Employees prefer </em><em>simple </em><em>jobsto complete. The objective of the study was to assess the impact of self-efficacy on employee performance at Takalar Regency’s Office of the Library and Archives. Self-efficacy is the independent variable, and work performance is the dependent variable. The research method employs quantitative method </em><em>by </em><em>determining saturated sampling, in which all research population, totaling 30 people, are</em><em>chosen </em><em>as research samples. The hypothesis was tested using the coefficient of determination (R2) and T statistics before being analyzed using the Simple Linear Regression technique and SPSS (Software package for the social sciences) software. The findings revealed that self-efficacy had a positive and statistically significant effect on employee performance. In this study, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.629, or 62.9 percent, and the difference was 37.1 percent, influenced by other factors not investigated in this study.
