DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF A DIGITAL DASHBOARD: UPDATING THE EMPLOYEE DATABASE AT PT. SURVEYOR INDONESIA (PERSERO) MAKASSAR BRANCH

Abstract
This study aims to design and develop a digital dashboard to update the employee database at PT Surveyor Indonesia (Persero) Makassar Branch. The main issue identified is the absence of employee classification based on work placement regions in the existing system, which leads to potential errors in payroll, tax, and BPJS reporting, as well as inconsistencies in regional financial statements. A descriptive qualitative approach was applied using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method, consisting of context analysis, identification of user and organizational requirements, solution design, and evaluation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis involving the Human Resources Division and the Finance Division. The results show that the Spreadsheet-based dashboard successfully classifies employees by work region and provides essential information such as contract duration, employment status, and administrative details more accurately and systematically. User evaluation indicates an improvement of approximately 65 percent in data recap efficiency and a reduction in employee misclassification errors that frequently occurred during manual processing. The dashboard is perceived as effective, practical, and cost-efficient, serving as a supportive administrative tool for data verification within a multi-office organizational structure. This study also contributes theoretically by demonstrating the applicability of UCD in developing administrative dashboards within state-owned enterprises and highlights opportunities for further research, including system integration and comprehensive usability evaluation.
