GUIDELINES FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSION
Journal of Applied Administration
Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts to be published in the Journal of Applied Administration include applied research articles and the results of conceptual studies. Authors must ensure that their manuscripts have not been published elsewhere. Manuscripts must be written in Indonesian, accompanied by abstracts in both Indonesian and English, using proper terminology and standard language. The manuscripts will be reviewed by both a language expert in Indonesian and an English language expert. The Editorial Board will not accept manuscripts containing non-standard terminology, improper language usage, or typographical errors. Rejected manuscripts will not be returned to the author(s).
The following requirements must be observed by authors:

Manuscripts must be typed in Microsoft Word on A4-sized paper, comprising approximately 3,500–5,000 words (excluding title, abstract, and references). Margins: 2 cm on the left, right, and bottom; 3 cm at the top.

The font used is Times New Roman, with size adjusted according to each section of the journal.

The use of numbering or bullet points should be avoided.

Tables must be center-aligned, and no lines should be used within table cells.

Authors must adhere to the Journal of Applied Administration template.

Plagiarism will be checked, with a maximum tolerance of 25%. Manuscripts detected with more than 50% plagiarism will be rejected outright. Manuscripts with 25–50% plagiarism will be returned for revision. Plagiarism is checked using Turnitin.

Manuscripts must be uploaded via the journal’s website, with prior registration.

Explanation of the Structure
Title & Subtitle

The title and subtitle must be presented in both Indonesian and English, not exceeding 18 words, and must reflect the substance of the research (14 pt, bold).

Full name(s) of author(s) without academic titles (12 pt, bold).

Complete institutional affiliation, including the city/district of the institution (11 pt).

Abstract (Indonesian) and Abstract (English)

Abstract (Indonesian): (11 pt, bold). The abstract should present the urgency, objectives, methods, research results, conclusions, and recommendations. It must not exceed 250 words and should summarize the entire manuscript without excessive detail. Avoid abbreviations, unless widely recognized or previously defined (Times New Roman, 11 pt).

Abstract (English): (11 pt, bold italic). The abstract must reflect the essence of the article, summarizing the full content without elaborating on each section. Avoid abbreviations, unless widely recognized or previously defined (11 pt italic).

Introduction (12 pt, bold)
The introduction should provide background and research objectives. The background must clearly describe the issues or phenomena addressed in the manuscript, highlighting the urgency of the research. The final part should explicitly state the research objectives. (12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
Literature Review (12 pt, bold)
This section presents the theoretical framework, relevant prior studies, and the novelty of the research. References must be cited in-text, using body notes (mentioning only the year). Only references directly relevant to the discussion should be included. (12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
Method (12 pt, bold)
This section describes the stages of research, types and sources of data, methods of data collection, data validation, and procedures employed in the study. (12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
Research Results (12 pt, bold)
This section provides a description of the research findings and the resulting work. Avoid repeating details from the methodology section. Tables, figures, and graphs may be included, numbered consecutively, and must be cited in the text. Specific objects in figures should be indicated with arrows. (12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
Conclusion (12 pt, bold)
This section presents answers to the research objectives and summarizes the study’s outcomes. It may also include recommendations for future research. (12 pt, 1.5 spacing).
References (12 pt, bold)
All references cited in the manuscript must be listed in the reference section. References should primarily consist of primary sources (at least 80% of the total), such as peer-reviewed journals, published within the last ten (10) years. The remaining 20% may include research reports, theses, dissertations, books, or other relevant publications. Documents, newspapers, and other secondary materials may be mentioned only in the text, not in the reference list.
The Editorial Board strongly recommends citing original sources and prioritizing references from journals with at least an ISSN. For literature review or conceptual studies, books may be used as primary references. References must follow APA 6th Edition style, single-spaced, and arranged alphabetically. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley is recommended.
