INFLUENCE OF SELF EFFICACY ON EMPLOYEE ACHIEVEMENT AT THE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVES OFFICE OF TAKALAR DISTRICT

Work performance is an indicator of an employee's success in carrying out his duties or workas his responsibility . Human traits, one of which is self-efficacy, have an impact on employee performance. The phenomenon that occurs at the Takalar Regency Office of the Library and Archives is that there are some employees procrastinate in working or there is a lack of internal motivation to complete their work. Employees prefer simple jobsto complete. The objective of the study was to assess the impact of self-efficacy on employee performance at Takalar Regency's Office of the Library and Archives. Self-efficacy is the independent variable, and work performance is the dependent variable. The research method employs quantitative method by determining saturated sampling, in which all research population, totaling 30 people, arechosen as research samples. The hypothesis was tested using the coefficient of determination (R2) and T statistics before being analyzed using the Simple Linear Regression technique and SPSS (Software package for the social sciences) software. The findings revealed that self-efficacy had a positive and statistically significant effect on employee performance. In this study, the coefficient of determination (R2) was 0.629, or 62.9 percent, and the difference was 37.1 percent, influenced by other factors not investigated in this study. As a new governmental organization, the Office of the Library and Archives of Takalar Regency must provide technical and managerial training to its employees in order to improve self-efficacy and employee performance.
